The Quechee Balloon Festival and Crafts Fair
Summer 2012 will mark the 34th anniversary of the Quechee Balloon Festival and Crafts Fair. It is possibly the biggest single event in Quechee each year. The event, in recent years has spanned the Father's Day weekend. Fathers get into for free on Sunday, Father's Day. The Festival is being held on held on the grounds of the Quechee Inn because of the damage caused by Irene to the Quechee grounds next to the Ottauquechee River.
There is always lots of great Festival food including everything from fried dough to fresh fruit drinks, barbecues, country breakfasts, hot apple-cinnamon buns, ice cream, and cotton candy. Festival organizers have also added a Beer Garden featuring Vermont Beers from Otter Creek Brewing Co. Other activities include the Quechee Library famous book sale and the weekend-long Green Mountain Volleyball Tournament.
